Job summary

IMAT Pty Ltd is seeking an electrical technician for a 8-week contract on a large-scale renewable energy project in NSW. Responsibilities include solar connections, installations, inspections, and commissioning within a dynamic site environment.

Applicants must hold an NSW Electrical Licence and have Australian working rights. Local candidates or those willing to relocate for 2:1 FIFO or 5:2 roster are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold Australian working rights.
• Current NSW Electrical Licence is required.
• Experience on utility-scale solar farm projects is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Connect solar systems and perform electrical installations.
• Conduct inspection and commissioning activities on site.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure proper operation.
• Work safely within a large-scale renewable energy project.

About the Role

• Initial 8-week engagement with potential extension
• 2:1 FIFO roster or 5:2 roster for local candidates
• 8–10 hours workdays
• Flights and accommodation provided (where applicable)

You will be involved in:

• Solar connections and electrical installations
• Inspection and commissioning activities
• Testing and troubleshooting electrical systems
• Working safely within a large-scale renewable energy project

Please note this role involves walking across a large project site throughout the day, so a reasonable level of physical fitness is required.

• Australian working rights

• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced construction environment
• Previous experience on utility-scale solar farm projects (preferred but not essential).
