Job summary

Solarig in Victoria, Australia, is seeking an experienced Electrician for the Bannerton Solar Farm. This full-time role covers operation, maintenance and safety in a growing solar facility, with an on-site roster and a competitive salary.

You will hold an unrestricted VIC electrical license, HV switching qualification, and appropriate safety certifications. The position includes a company-provided vehicle and tools, plus ongoing career development in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Class Electrical License (VIC) required.
• High Voltage Switching Qualification preferred.
• Work safely in the construction industry card required.
• Low Voltage Rescue Training required.
• CPR Training required.
• A valid Driver’s License essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and communications interventions and corrective actions.
• Plan, supervise and coordinate maintenance tasks.
• Supervise plant operation.
• Process work requests and provide reports.
• Adhere to WH&S policies and procedures.
• Carry out environmental works.
• Report incidents.
• Carry out electrical and communication works.
• Clean and inspect assets and infrastructures.
• Use CMMS to manage and complete work orders.
• Manage scheduled maintenance.
• Participate in on-call roster.

About the Role

As an Electrician with Solarig, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our solar farm. This full‑time role offers the chance to work in a collaborative, safety‑focused environment, with excellent career growth potential in the rapidly expanding solar industry.

• Location: Bannerton Solar Farm, Victoria

• Roster: 5 days a week

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (38 hours per week)

• Must participate onOn‑call roster

• Work Vehicle & Tools provided

(Please note these positions are not FIFO or DIDO and must have unrestricted electrical license)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform any electrical and communications intervention and/or corrective action and advance preventive activities

• Supervision, planning and coordination of the maintenance tasks

• Supervision of the operation of the plant

• work requests completion and reporting

• Comply and adhere to all work, health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

• Environmental works

• report any incident

• Responsible for carrying out electrical and communication works

• Cleaning and inspection of the asset and infrastructures

• Utilize CMMS and manage, complete work orders

• Responsible for the scheduled maintenance

• Participate On‑call roster

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a reliable, safety-focused Electrical Tradesperson who can take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team. You should have:

• Unrestricted Class Electrical License (VIC) (Required)

• High Voltage Switching Qualification (High desirable)

• CPR Training (Required)

• A valid Driver’s License
