Job summary

Team Global Express is seeking a PM Electrical Maintenance Tradesperson to join our Banksmeadow depot team. You will maintain automated sortation systems and related equipment, performing preventative and predictive maintenance, and addressing breakdowns to keep operations running smoothly.

The role combines electrical trades with mechanical work on shift. The position is full-time permanent with a 3PM–11PM shift and overtime as required.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining complex industrial facilities.
• Familiar with PLC, VSD and SCADA installations.
• Knowledge of carton and package handling conveyors.
• Proficient in reading technical diagrams.
• Experience with conveying equipment, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Able to use MEX software effectively.
• Participation in continuous improvement projects.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance for automated sortation systems and related equipment.
• Assist in designing solutions for evolving operational needs.
• Respond quickly to mechanical and electrical faults on shift.
• Undertake planned and unplanned mechanical tasks on plant equipment.
• Maintain the MEX CMMS system and schedules.
• Act in accordance with maintenance schedules and safety policies.
• Support operations to ensure system efficiency during shift.
• Stock control of electrical parts inventory.

About the role

We are seeking a PM Electrical Maintenance Tradesperson to join our team based at our Banksmeadow Depot. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the full maintenance of our Sortation Systems and related depot equipment. This includes performing preventative and predictive maintenance, as well as swiftly addressing any unforeseen breakdowns or damages. The position requires your expertise as an Electrical tradesperson, as well as your mechanical background to ensure the operation runs smoothly on shift.

Full Time Permanent position

Working hours/times: 3PM - 11PM

Overtime if required

High priority to safety and keeping our team members safe

All PPE and uniforms are provided

Some Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned maintenance for automated sortation systems and related freight handling equipment, ensuring maximum throughput.
• Assist in designing innovative solutions for evolving operational and business needs.
• Respond quickly to both mechanical and electrical faults on shift.
• Undertake planned and unplanned mechanical tasks on plant equipment.
• Maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (MEX).
• Act in accordance with maintenance schedules.
• Support operational teams to ensure system is functioning efficiently during shift.
• Stock control of electrical parts inventory

About you:

Skills & Experience

• Experience in maintaining complex industrial facilities.
