Job summary

Sonder Executive is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician for its Minto site on a permanent 12-hour night shift roster. You’ll maintain, troubleshoot and repair production equipment to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime.

The role covers electrical and mechanical breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and reliability improvements across a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll work independently to manage breakdowns during night shifts and contribute to safety and

Qualifications

• A-grade Electrical Licence.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding capability for non-dual trade candidates.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food processing, packaging or similar industrial environments.
• Strong electrical and mechanical breakdown experience.
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation.
• Pneumatic and hydraulic experience highly regarded.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage breakdowns during night shift operations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns across production equipment.
• Fault-find and repair PLC-controlled machinery, motors, drives, VFDs, sensors and control systems.
• Maintain and repair conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics and other mechanical equipment.
• Complete preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support machinery upgrades, installations and reliability improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with site safety and LOTO procedures.

The Role
