Job summary

A-Line Group in Moorabbin, VIC is expanding its factory team and seeks a capable trade assistant to support electricians and production staff on the switchboard build process. You will perform assembly support, prep components, and help keep the workshop safe and organized onsite.

This role offers hands‑on training, a genuine pathway into the electrical trades, and long‑term stability with a Tier 1 manufacturer under factory EBA conditions.

Qualifications

• Previous trade assistant experience in manufacturing or workshop.
• Mechanically minded with good hand skills.
• Forklift licence is advantageous.
• Reliable and safety conscious.

Responsibilities

• Assisting electricians with switchboard assembly and fit-out.
• Cutting, drilling and preparing components and enclosures.
• Material handling, stock movement and workshop organisation.
• General labouring duties and keeping work areas clean and safe.
• Supporting quality and safety processes.
• Occasional on site EMF Shielding installation.

A-Line Group is a Tier 1 switchboard manufacturer supplying major projects across Australia. Due to growth, we're expanding our Moorabbin factory team.

About the Role

You'll support our electricians and production team across the switchboard build process, gaining hands-on experience in a skilled manufacturing environment. You will also have the opportunity to join our onsite EMF shielding installers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting electricians with switchboard assembly and fit-out
• Cutting, drilling and preparing components and enclosures
• Material handling, stock movement and workshop organisation
• General labouring duties and keeping work areas clean and safe
• Supporting quality and safety processes
• Occasional on site EMF Shielding installation

About You

• Previous experience as a trade assistant, in manufacturing, or in a workshop environment (advantageous but not essential)
• Mechanically minded with good hand skills
• Forklift licence advantageous
• Reliable, punctual and keen to learn
• Strong safety focus
• Previous trades advantageous
