AKD Softwoods in Australia is seeking an Electrical/Electronic Engineer to drive tactical improvement projects through PLC optimization, de-bottlenecking processes and delivering maximum returns through advanced technology.

You will deliver and maintain Electrical Control Systems, act as SME for the electrical department, and provide technical support to asset management, operations and maintenance while leading investigations with a strong safety focus.

Job Description

Working with key Maintenance & Operational teams, this role drives tactical improvement projects through PLC optimization to de-bottleneck and delivering maximum returns to the business through enhancing leading-edge technology capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and maintain fit for purpose Electrical Control Systems and Infrastructure.
• Act as subject matter expert for the electrical department.
• Provide technical support to asset management, operations, and maintenance teams.
• Critically analyse manufacturing processes to identify the opportunity for improvement.
• Ensure an ongoing focus on lifecycle product costs, process efficiency, and innovation.
• Work with operations personnel to lead and participate in Root Cause Analysis and Investigations.
• Provide coaching to team members to increase overall capability of the team

• You are confident working in a manufacturing, maintenance or process improvement environment.
• You hold a qualification inElectrotechnology or ElectricalEngineering.
• You can plan, coordinate and deliver projects to agreed outcomes.

• You are proactive, improvement-focused and comfortable leading investigations and identifying practical solutions.
