Job summary

ASC Pty Ltd is a premier submarine-focused engineering and support contractor in Australia. The Specialist Electrical Technical Officer / Designer role provides expert technical leadership for the Collins Class Submarine programs, ensuring safe and practical engineering solutions.

The incumbent will produce detailed drawings, guide teams, and maintain compliance with ASC processes and safety standards. Ideal candidates will have advanced engineering qualifications, experience with power

Qualifications

Advanced Diploma / Associate Degree of Engineering or equivalent experience.
Electrical trade experience is highly regarded.
Experience with complex projects in heavy industry such as shipbuilding or maintenance.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and engineering support to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Produce and review 2D drawings: cable block diagrams, circuit diagrams, switchboard layouts.
Ensure outputs comply with ASC processes and industry standards.
Mentor and develop junior staff and share knowledge.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated solutions.
Plan, estimate, and report progress while managing risks and priorities.
