RMS Manufacturing in Melbourne is seeking a Testing & Quality Engineer to lead testing, verification, and quality assurance across switchboard production. You will ensure every switchboard, distribution board, and control panel is built, tested, and certified to Australian standards and project specs.

The role requires hands-on electrical expertise, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with design, production, and site teams to drive quality, compliance, and safe

Competenze

• Bachelor’s/Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or A‑Grade electrical licence.
• Hands‑on QA, testing or commissioning of LV switchboards.
• Deep knowledge of AS/NZS 61439 and AS/NZS 3000.
• Ability to read electrical schemes, SLDs and BOMs.
• Experience using electrical test equipment.
• Clear written and verbal communication with inspectors and client engineers.

Mansioni

• Conduct functional, electrical, and mechanical testing on main switchboards, distribution boards, and control panels.
• Plan, coordinate, and lead FAT inspections and witness testing.
• Identify non‑conformances, conduct root‑cause analyses (RCA), and implement CAPA.
• Maintain meticulous test records, checklists, compliance certificates, and handover packages.
• Review electrical schematics, SLDs, wiring schedules, and BOMs for accuracy and manufacturability.
• Provide remote and on‑site support during customer installation, commissioning, and diagnostic troubleshooting.
• Partner with design engineers, electrical fitters, and sheetmetal teams to resolve build issues on the floor.
