Job summary

Rio Tinto is seeking a Safety-focused Supervisor Plant Electrical for Marandoo operations. Lead a trade team responsible for planned maintenance and breakdowns on fixed plant assets, driving safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

You will coordinate work, ensure compliance, coach team members, and foster a culture of empowerment. The role operates on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth within a global mining environment.

Qualifications

• A commitment to safety of yourself and your team.
• Relevant trade qualification (Electrical).
• Proven experience operating in a field leadership role with knowledge of fixed plant equipment.
• Understanding of work management processes and principles.
• Ability to align work with Rio Tinto values (Care, Courage, Curiosity).
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• C Class manual driver's licence is current.
• Statutory Supervisor Qualification (AQF4).

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of fixed plant maintenance personnel.
• Providing strong safety and technical leadership to ensure work is executed safely and effectively.
• Acting as a role model for positive behaviours, practices and processes.
• Planning, organising and managing the execution of maintenance activities.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory and site requirements, including safety and training obligations.
• Managing team schedules, productivity and performance outcomes.
• Identifying resourcing and capability needs to support operational requirements.
• Collaborating with key stakeholders to optimise performance while driving productivity and minimising cost and environmental impact.
