Job summary

Rio Tinto is seeking a motivated Supervisor Plant Shutdown to lead fixed plant shutdowns at Marandoo. You’ll manage an 8/6 roster with occasional nights, mentor the Shutdown team, and ensure safety, planning and execution are in line with site priorities.

Reporting to the Superintendent Fixed Plant, you will coordinate readiness, staging, labour, materials and equipment, apply the shutdown framework, drive continuous improvement, and work with internal teams and SAP to deliver reliable

Qualifications

• Experience leading fixed plant shutdowns
• Strong safety leadership and risk management
• Ability to plan and coordinate shutdown activities
• Current C Class manual driver's licence
• AQF4 Supervisor qualification

Responsibilities

• Lead fixed plant shutdowns and ensure safety and compliance with site priorities
• Plan, pre‑planning and staging activities for shutdowns
• Collaborate with internal teams to support effective shutdown planning and execution
• Drive continuous improvement through post‑shutdown reviews and actions
• Manage readiness, labour, materials and equipment and ensure SAP work orders are executed
