Job summary

Connexus is seeking an Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineer to lead practical electrification projects in Sydney. You'll design EV charging infrastructure, specify PV systems (rooftop and ground-mount), and integrate BESS within commercial, industrial, educational, and residential buildings.

The role focuses on decarbonisation, replacing gas boilers with electric heating, and delivering measurable energy savings through NABERS-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree and eligibility for Chartered status or equivalent Australian registration.
• Proven track record designing solar PV and electrical systems to AS/NZS 3000 and 4777.
• Hands-on experience with NABERS, energy audits or building-optimisation projects with measured savings.
• Ability to produce clear, defensible calculations and reports for clients and contractors.
• Previous experience or knowledge of BESS and EV infrastructure.
• Comfortable in a client facing role.

Electrical Design Engineer - Renewables - To $110 + Super

Are you an Electrical (Building Services, or Renewable Energy) Design Engineer in Sydney, Melbourne or Canberra?

Like to work for one of the true pioneers of green building design; where you can make a genuine impact on helping Australia reach its Net Zero targets?

Established a decade ago they operate across Australia and Europe and specialise in Energy (Energy Audits, Efficiency, Road Maps, M&V, Strategy, Reporting and Management), NABERS, Building Optimisation and Building Tuning, Solar PV, BESS Electric Vehicle Infrastructure to broader ESD. They have helped revise NABERS, and have been instrumental in guiding local governments on policy and legislation, with a holistic energy focus.

Due to growth they are looking for an Electrical Engineer (could be Engineer to Senior Engineer level) to join the team and lead out on the practical, on-the-ground side of building electrification and decarbonisation.

This isn't a generic building services role, but rather an opportunity to specialise in the technology that's actually driving the shift away from fossil-fuelled buildings.

Requirements

• Electrical engineering degree and eligibility for Chartered status or equivalent Australian registration.
