Job summary

John Holland is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join the Melbourne Water Framework on a project in Werribee, VIC. You will coordinate construction activities and ensure work aligns with plans, designs and specifications.

The role requires LV/HV, instrumentation, PLC/SCADA expertise, and strong commercial acumen for budgeting, reporting and risk management. You will lead subcontractor oversight and ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance on site.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience with LV and HV systems in water infrastructure.
Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and instrumentation networks.
Commercial experience including budgeting and risk reporting.
Strong safety focus and subcontractor management.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities per plans, designs and specifications.
Assist with site construction budgets and reports.
Monitor construction progress and report to Site Manager or Project Manager.
Interpret designs for execution on site.
Apply financial acumen in project decisions.
Manage subcontractor work and performance.
Ensure compliance with contracts and regulations.
Conduct safety, environmental and quality risk assessments.
Maintain project documentation and reporting.
