Job summary

CPB Contractors Pty, as part of the Spark North East Link consortium in Melbourne, seeks an experienced Project Engineer forElectrical systems within the MEI team. You will oversee HV, LV, lighting, fibre, and telecommunications packages across design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in infrastructure projects and strong leadership, communication and documentation skills to ensure safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the infrastructure or construction industry.
• Proven delivery experience on large scale infrastructure project (> $50M).
• Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
• Strong project management skills, including prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to all phases of the project lifecycle from planning to handover of electrical systems.
• Review design documents, perform constructability and commissioning reviews, ensure code compliance.
• Develop submission packages, manage subcontractor budgets, coordinate internal teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to codes and quality standards with QA inspections and documentation.
