Design & Build Recruitment in Sydney is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to lead the HV infrastructure package for a major data centre project. You will collaborate with the Project Manager and the wider team to drive procurement, design coordination and delivery of HV substations.

The role requires proven experience in electrical project engineering on large projects, with a strong focus on HV infrastructure and substations within data centres or critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as Electrical Project Engineer on major construction projects.
• Strong experience across HV infrastructure, substations and related electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering and technical requirements across the HV infrastructure scope of a major data centre project.
• Coordinate design, documentation, submissions and engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and internal project teams.
• Assist with procurement, programming, cost management and project reporting.
• Ensure HV works meet project specs, standards, safety requirements and programme.

Join a leading Tier 1 electrical contractor delivering some of Sydney’s most significant electrical infrastructure projects across the data centre and healthcare sectors.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a major data centre project, taking responsibility for the delivery of the HV infrastructure and substation components of the project.

You’ll work closely with the Project Manager and wider project team, playing a key role across engineering, procurement, subcontractor management and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage engineering and technical requirements across the HV infrastructure scope of a major data centre project.
• Coordinate design, documentation, technical submissions and engineering deliverables.

• Ensure HV works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, standards, safety requirements and programme.

Key Requirements

• Strong experience across HV infrastructure, substations and associated electrical systems.
• Experience working on data centre, healthcare, infrastructure or other complex electrical projects is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively within a large project team.
