Job summary

Altrad is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our Queensland project team delivering critical gas infrastructure works. This site-based role, based in Brisbane with a 2:1 roster, focuses on electrical systems delivery, safety, and on-time handover.

You will coordinate construction, support site teams, manage subcontractors, and drive compliant engineering documentation from planning through to testing and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical/project engineering within oil and gas.
• Strong knowledge of Australian electrical standards and gas infrastructure requirements.
• Experience with hazardous areas and HV installations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical construction activities to meet safety and schedule targets.
• Manage subcontractors, scope development, and progress monitoring.
• Provide technical engineering support to site teams and resolve installation issues.
• Develop and manage TQs, RFIs, and MOC processes for project delivery.
• Prepare work packs, ITPs/ITRs, MDRs, and HA dossiers for quality control.
• Support scheduling, procurement, and forward planning to prevent delays.
• Oversee testing, inspection, handover, and client deliverables.
