Job summary

PBE Rutherford Mining in Brisbane is seeking a Project Electrical Engineer to support turnkey electrical infrastructure projects across mining and industrial sectors. You will coordinate project activities, manage resources and communicate with clients to ensure on-time delivery, safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering or trade background required.

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will support the successful delivery of turnkey electrical infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.

You will coordinate resources, contractors and project activities while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Based in Brisbane, this role combines office-based project coordination with regular site engagement. Travel to customer and project sites throughout Queensland and interstate will be required from time to time. As such, we are seeking a candidate who enjoys working closely with customers and is willing to travel as projects dictate.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and delivery of electrical infrastructure projects

• Coordinate employees, subcontractors, equipment and materials

• Manage project schedules and monitor project performance

• Support budgeting, forecasting and cost control activities

• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and reporting

• Coordinate and monitor engineering and design activities

• Prepare project progress reports and project documentation

• Ensure compliance with quality assurance and WHS requirements

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery

• Support the successful achievement of project objectives relating to safety, quality, cost and schedule

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Electrical Engineering qualifications or an electrical trade background

• Experience in Project Engineering, Project Coordination or Project Management

• Mining, industrial, infrastructure or heavy industry experience

• Strong organisational and time-management skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

• High attention to detail and commercial awareness

• A proactive and solutions-focused approach

• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement

• Ability and willingness to travel regularly to project sites throughout Queensland and interstate as required

• Current unrestricted driver's licence

• Comfortable working across both office and site environments
