Job summary

Regis Resources is recruiting an Electrical Leading Hand to join the Duketon maintenance team on a FIFO 8:6 roster. The role involves scheduling and supervising electricians, ensuring safe work practices, and allocating coverage for breakdowns.

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will assist with task allocation, monitor day-to-day activities, and may act as Electrical Supervisor in their absence. Site-based permanent position with a focus on zero-harm operations.

Qualifications

• Trade certification - Electrical
• Current WA electrical licence
• HV switching certificate (last 3 years)
• Experience in fixed plant mining environment
• Management, health and safety focus
• Task prioritisation and time management
• Valid manual driver’s licence
• S26 certificate

Responsibilities

• Work scheduling and supervision of electrical tradespersons in maintenance activities
• Allocating maintenance coverage for breakdowns
• Inspecting the workplace for hazards and promoting safe work practices
• Resolving on the job work issues
• Instructing team members in work practices
• Ensuring work procedures are followed
• Ensuring materials and safety equipment are available to team members
• Referring unresolved issues to the Supervisor

The opportunity

We are currently looking for an Electrical Leading Hand to join the maintenance team at our Duketon operations.

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the Leading Hand will assist with the allocation of tasks to the Electricians and monitoring the day-to-day activities of the Electrical team. On occasion, the Leading Hand may act as an alternate to the Electrical Supervisor.

This is a FIFO role, working on an 8:6 roster ex-Perth.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

• Work scheduling and supervision of electrical tradespersons in maintenance activities
• Allocating maintenance coverage for breakdowns
• Inspecting the workplace for hazards and promoting safe work practices
• Resolving on the job work issues
• Instructing team members in work practices
• Ensuring work procedures are followed
• Ensuring requisite materials, including safety equipment, are available to team members
• Referring unresolved issues and problems to the Supervisor

About you

To be successful for this role, you will have:

• Trade certification - Electrical
• Current WA electrical licence
• HV switching certificate within the last 3 years
• Significant demonstrated experience in a fixed plant mining environment
• Management, health and safety and human resources focused
• Task prioritisation, time management for self and direct reports
• Hold a valid manual driver’s licence
• S26 certificate
