Job summary

Regis Resources Ltd is seeking an Electrical Leading Hand to join the Duketon operations. This site-based FIFO role (8:6 roster) reports to the Electrical Supervisor and may act as deputy during absences.

You will oversee electricians, schedule maintenance, and support safe, efficient electrical works. The ideal candidate will hold a WA electrical licence, electrical trade cert, and an HV switching certificate, with mining fixed-plant experience and a solid safety record.

Qualifications

• Trade certification - Electrical is required.
• Current WA electrical licence.
• HV switching certificate within the last 3 years.
• Significant mining fixed plant experience is essential.
• Strong health and safety focus and leadership ability.
• Must hold a valid manual driver's licence.
• S26 certificate benefits team safety.

Job Description

The opportunity

We are currently looking for an Electrical Leading Hand to join the maintenance team at our Duketon operations.

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the Leading Hand will assist with the allocation of tasks to the Electricians and monitoring the day-to-day activities of the Electrical team. On occasion, the Leading Hand may act as an alternate to the Electrical Supervisor.

This is a FIFO role, working on an 8:6 roster ex-Perth.

The Main Responsibilities Of This Role Include

• Work scheduling and supervision of electrical tradespersons in maintenance activities
• Allocating maintenance coverage for breakdowns
• Inspecting the workplace for hazards and promoting safe work practices
• Resolving on the job work issues
• Instructing team members in work practices
• Ensuring work procedures are followed
• Ensuring requisite materials, including safety equipment, are available to team members
• Referring unresolved issues and problems to the Supervisor

About You

Desired Skills and Experience

To Be Successful For This Role, You Will Have

• Trade certification - Electrical
• Current WA electrical licence
• HV switching certificate within the last 3 years
• Significant demonstrated experience in a fixed plant mining environment
• Management, health and safety and human resources focused
• Task prioritisation, time management for self and direct reports
• Hold a valid manual driver’s licence
• S26 certificate
