Job summary

A WA-based specialist electrical & HVAC services business is seeking an experienced Project Manager — Electrical & HVAC to lead delivery of medium to large projects across WA. You’ll report to the Group CEO and ensure safe, on-time, on-budget outcomes while managing site teams, contractors and client relationships.

This role offers a clear pathway to General Manager as the business grows, with exposure to HV/LV installations, switchrooms, cabling, automation, and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified electrician with management of electrical and HVAC projects in mining, industrial construction or infrastructure.
• Delivery of HV/LV installations, switchrooms, cabling/automation and hazardous-area works.
• Experience managing remote/FIFO operations.
• HVAC systems familiarity: design, DDC/BMS integration, installation and servicing; CCTV systems advantageous.
• Budget, P&L responsibility and achieving margins.
• HSE leadership and enforcing safety culture on site.
• Qualifications: Cert IV / Diploma in Project Management, or tertiary engineering/technical qualification desirable.
• Willingness to travel and undertake site travel as required.
• Site tickets (white card, hazardous area tickets, commissioning/technical licences) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery for electrical, HVAC and communications contracts across WA.
• Develop project plans, budgets, programs and change control; drive cost-control and margins.
• Ensure strict safety and hazardous-area compliance; lead prestart, JSA and HSE engagement.
• Coordinate subcontractors and FIFO/metro crews; manage site supervisors and trades.
• Drive commissioning, testing, documentation and client handover.
• Maintain clear client communications and build long-term relationships.
• Collaborate with central support for resources and engineering input.
• Mentor site teams; contribute to prequalification and tender activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, risk mitigation and lessons learned.
