Job summary

RMS Manufacturing in Victoria seeks an Electrical Fitter or A Grade Electrician to manufacture switchboards and perform site works, with demonstrated ability to read drawings and comply with standards.

You will supervise apprentices, manage your workshop space, ensure quality and safety, and collaborate with the workshop supervisor to build switchboards to specifications.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrical fitter or A grade electrician with switchboard manufacturing experience.
• Must hold either a switchgear workers licence or electrical licence.
• Knowledge of electrical switchgear.
• Experience in workshop environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Understanding of switchboard drawings, technical manuals and supplier documents.

Electrical Fitter / A Grade - Switchboard Manufacturing

As an electrical fitter or A grade electrician you will be responsible for manufacturing switchboards and site works. You will need to have proven ability of manufacturing switchboards to drawings.

About the role:

Supervise and teach apprentices that are working along side you

Follow and organise your manufacturing space

Ensure the quality and accuracy of the work you produce (both in the workshop and on site)

Maintain a safe working environment and promote a culture of safety

Ensure work is being produced to comply with all relevant regulations and standards

Collaborate with the workshop supervisor to ensure switchboards are built to specifications, drawings and to our workshop standards

About you:

Qualified electrical fitter or A grade electrician with switchboard manufacturing experience (must hold either a switchgear workers licence or electrical licence)

Knowledge of electrical switchgear

Experience in workshop environment

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Understanding of switchboard drawings, technical manuals and equipment supplier documents
