Job description

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Electrical Apprentice to join our team and develop their skills in switchboard manufacturing and electrical site works.

Working alongside experienced electricians and electrical fitters, you will gain hands- on experience manufacturing switchboards, interpreting drawings, completing workshop tasks and assisting with site installations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the electrical industry.

About the Role

• Work alongside qualified electricians and experienced tradespeople to learn the electrical trade
• Assist with the manufacture and assembly of electrical switchboards
• Learn to read and understand electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation
• Assist with electrical installation and site works
• Follow instructions and complete work to a high standard
• Keep your work area clean, organised and safe
• Develop practical skills in electrical switchgear and equipment
• Learn and follow relevant electrical regulations, standards and company procedures
• Maintain a strong focus on safety in the workshop and on site
• Work as part of a team to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time
• Take responsibility for your learning and development throughout your apprenticeship

About You

• Is genuinely interested in pursuing a career in the electrical industry
• Is currently undertaking, or looking to commence, an Electrical Apprenticeship
• Has a strong willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
• Can follow instructions and work safely
• Has an interest in electrical switchboards, electrical equipment and workshop environments
• Can work effectively as part of a team
• Has good problem-solving skills and a positive attitude
• Is willing to work both in the workshop and on site

Previous workshop, electrical, mechanical or trade experience will be viewed favourably, but is not essential.
