Job summary

Conveying & Hoisting Solutions is seeking a qualified Electrical Fitter or Electrician to maintain and repair our fleet of rental equipment. You will perform depot-based maintenance and on-site servicing for a diverse range of electrical and mechanical gear.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will diagnose faults, complete service records and ensure safety and high-quality outcomes for customers across indoor and outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Electrical fitter trade certificate or electrical trade certificate required.
• Experience with motors, control systems and electrical components.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing 240V and 415V motors and control systems.
• Perform electrical inspections and preventative maintenance on rental equipment.
• Attend customer sites for servicing and fault-finding.
• Document maintenance and service reports accurately.
• Provide professional customer service and work safely.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Fitter or Electrician to join our team and play a key role in maintaining, servicing and repairing our fleet of rental equipment.

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, you will enjoy a varied, hands-on position combining depot-based maintenance with work at customer sites.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated tradesperson who enjoys fault-finding, solving technical challenges and working with a diverse range of electrical and mechanical equipment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing 240V and 415V electric motors and associated control systems.
• Conducting electrical inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs on our rental equipment.
• Attending customer sites to undertake servicing, fault-finding and maintenance activities.
• Identifying equipment faults and implementing safe, practical and efficient solutions.
• Operating machinery, equipment and vehicles in accordance with company policies and safety procedures.
• Working across indoor and outdoor environments, both independently and alongside other trades.
• Completing maintenance records, service reports and other required documentation accurately.
• Providing professional, responsive and high-quality customer service.
• Collaborating with colleagues, customers and contractors to ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Electrical Fitter Trade Certificate or Electrical Trade Certificate.
• Experience working with a broad range of electrical components, motors and control systems.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Sound mechanical aptitude and a practical, hands-on approach.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Confidence working autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Current C Class Driver's Licence.
• Current Construction White Card (WHS Card), or willingness to obtain one.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
