Job summary

Valenhold Pty Ltd. in Tingalpa, Brisbane, is seeking an experienced electrical tradesperson to join our Product Support team, supporting our electrical drivetrain product range across Australia and internationally.

You'll be a key technical resource for customers, service partners and internal teams, troubleshooting problems, investigating failures, improving rebuilds and helping develop the technical knowledge behind our products.

Qualifications

• Electrical fault-finding, diagnostics and rebuild experience required.
• Experience with mining or heavy equipment electrical systems.
• Experience with traction motors, alternators, blowers or similar rotating equipment advantageous.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and troubleshooting support to customers and service partners.
• Support electrical component rebuilds, testing and fault diagnosis.
• Review warranty issues and support failure investigations.
• Carry out product and component quality checks.
• Develop and improve rebuild procedures and technical documentation.
• Provide technical input, support and training across internal teams and external partners.
• Occasional travel to customer and partner sites in Australia and internationally as required.

Job description

For over 10 years, Valenhold has been helping keep Australia's biggest mining fleets moving. We design and deliver high-performance components and support that make heavy equipment more reliable and more sustainable.

We're looking for an experienced electrical tradesperson to join our Product Support team, supporting our electrical drivetrain product range across Australia and internationally.

You might already be working in product support, technical support or field service, or you may be a highly experienced electrical fitter ready to spend less time on the tools while still using the technical knowledge you've built throughout your career.

About the Role

If you know mining electrical rotating equipment - particularly traction motors, alternators and blowers - this is an opportunity to put that hands-on experience to work in a broader technical role.

You'll become a key technical resource for our customers, service partners and internal teams - troubleshooting problems, investigating failures, improving rebuilds and helping develop the technical knowledge behind our products.

What You'll Do

• Provide technical and troubleshooting support to customers and service partners
• Support electrical component rebuilds, testing and fault diagnosis
• Review warranty issues and support failure investigations
• Carry out product and component quality checks
• Develop and improve rebuild procedures and technical documentation
• Provide technical input, support and training across internal teams and external partners
• Occasional travel to customer and partner sites in Australia and internationally as required

About You

You're an experienced electrical tradesperson with strong hands-on knowledge of heavy electrical equipment. You know how to troubleshoot a problem, work through the cause of a failure and explain the technical detail clearly to others.

You're comfortable working autonomously, using your initiative and dealing directly with customers and site teams.

You'll also bring:

• Electrical Fitter, Electrical Fitter Mechanic or equivalent trade qualification
• Strong electrical fault-finding, diagnostics and rebuild experience
• Experience with mining or heavy equipment electrical systems
• Experience with traction motors, alternators, blowers or similar rotating equipment highly regarded
• Ability to travel domestically & internationally as required
