Ampcontrol in Mackay is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join the team and run budgets and tenders across mining projects from early stages to submission. You’ll work with customers, engineering and project teams to deliver accurate estimates and compelling tenders.

The role emphasizes proactive, commercially-minded individuals with strong electrical and budgeting skills, capable of handling multiple tenders and building lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing electrical estimates, budgets or tenders.
• Hands‑on experience with HV/LV electrical systems, plant or equipment.
• Ability to understand project requirements and build strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate budgets, estimates, quotations and tender submissions.
• Working directly with customers to understand project requirements, scope and expectations.
• Supporting pre‑engineering activities and project reviews.
• Managing multiple tenders across different areas of the Mining business.
• Reviewing project requirements to ensure estimates align with standards, contracts and budget.
• Developing competitive and achievable solutions with internal teams.
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Contributing to improved tender outcomes and business growth.
