Job summary

Heat and Control Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a high-performing team. You will advise on system design, costing, and manuals, and you will design electrical control systems for our food processing, packaging, and weighing equipment.

You will supervise design work, design PLC/HMI/SCADA solutions, and help secure tenders for electrical subcontract work. On-site commissioning and hands-on leadership are essential for this role in Australia and internationally.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with ≥5 years in process control.
Experience with on-site commissioning and project implementation.
Proficiency with Siemens S7, WinCC Flexible, and TIA Portal; also AB/Rockwell and Wonderware.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proven project leadership and hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

Advise sales and project teams on system design, costing, and maintenance manuals.
Design and supervise electrical control systems for Heat and Control equipment; prepare circuit drawings.
Design PLC, HMI and SCADA control systems.
Seek and select tenders for electrical subcontract work.
Supervise installations and commission systems on-site; train operators and plant engineers.
