Qualificações

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Hands-on PLC programming and industrial control systems experience.
• Experience with IEC 61131 languages (ST, FBD, SFC).
• Experience developing and testing control software for electromechanical equipment or industrial systems.
• Experience across requirements analysis, design, testing, and root-cause analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and implement PLC software and control algorithms for industrial electromechanical systems.
• Undertake system functional analysis and develop traceable software requirements and specifications.
• Perform software and system verification and validation, including FAT and site testing.
• Troubleshoot PLC, software and equipment faults, undertake root cause analysis and support ongoing software maintenance.
• Support software documentation, configuration management, defect tracking and continuous improvement activities.

Software Engineer - PLC & Control Systems

We're currently recruiting for a Software Engineer - PLC & Control Systems to join a global engineering and manufacturing organisation specialising in rail vehicle HVAC and thermal management systems.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Western Sydney. The role is focused on the design, development, testing and maintenance of control software for complex electromechanical systems, with a strong emphasis on PLC programming and industrial control systems.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement PLC software and control algorithms for industrial electromechanical systems.
• Undertake system functional analysis and develop traceable software requirements and specifications.
• Perform software and system verification and validation, including bench testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and site testing.
• Troubleshoot PLC, software and equipment faults, undertake root cause analysis and support ongoing software maintenance.
• Support software documentation, configuration management, defect tracking and continuous improvement activities while working across local and international engineering teams.

• Experience across requirements analysis, software design, testing, validation, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
