AECOM Brisbane is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Mining & Industrial Systems) to support major mining, heavy industry and resources projects. You will apply electrical, HV/LV, instrumentation and control expertise, and work within our Resources and Industry Group on large multidisciplinary teams.

The role offers hybrid work options, client liaison, project management exposure, and mentorship from experienced engineers, with opportunities to contribute to design excellence and international

Competenze

Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years designing industrial/mining electrical and control systems.
Experience in HV/LV distribution, controls, communications and safety systems in industrial/mining space.
Experience producing engineering documentation: drawings, specs, datasheets, SOWs.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and compliant design.
Strong passion for delivering results and sharing knowledge with teams.

Carry out Electrical Engineering assignments from start to finish.
Provide detailed designs of Electrical Services for medium to large projects.

Job Description

As a result of a significant project pipeline, our Electrical, Instruments & Controls Team based in our Resources and Industry Group in Brisbane has an opportunity for Professional and Senior Engineers to support our growth.

Working in a dynamic, consulting environment on major mining, heavy industry and resources projects, you will utilise your electrical systems experience including HV, LV, instrumentation, controls and communications, vendor package integration, to drive the continued development of our team.

As an Electrical Engineer you will champion technical excellence and grow your experience under the mentorship of our experienced team members. Client liaison and project management opportunities will be provided on your career path, working for an international consultancy.

How you'll make a difference

Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering with minimum 2 years' experience designing industrial and mining power, electrical, instrument and control systems
Demonstrated experience in the design and specification of systems such as HV/LV distribution, controls and communications and safety systems, preferably in industrial and mining space
Experience in producing engineering documentation such as technical drawings and specifications, datasheets, scope of works and material requisitions
Possess current knowledge of the relevant industry standards and the application in compliant designs
Strong passion for delivering outstanding results and sharing knowledge with teams

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering
CPEng and/or RPEQ (or working towards obtaining)

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
7+ years of experience in a Building Services environment as an Electrical Engineer
Design & analysis of electrical, power, lighting, communications, security and data services
In-depth knowledge of Australian building codes and standards
Strong communication skills, client-facing experience, and teamwork
