Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Electrical, Instruments & Controls Team in Brisbane. The role focuses on designing industrial and mining power, instrumentation and control systems, with opportunities for client liaison and project management within an international consultancy.

You will work on major mining and heavy industry projects, applying knowledge of HV/LV distribution, controls and communications, and drive technical excellence under senior guidance.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering with minimum 2 years' experience designing industrial and mining power, electrical, instrument and control systems
• Experience in HV/LV distribution, controls and communications and safety systems in industrial/mining space
• Experience producing engineering drawings, specifications, datasheets, scope of works and material requisitions

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design and technical excellence for mining projects
• Engage with clients and manage projects, with liaison opportunities
• Contribute to vendor package integration and compliance with industry standards

Job Description

As a result of a significant project pipeline, our Electrical, Instruments & Controls Team based in our Resources and Industry Group in Brisbane has an opportunity for Professional and Senior Engineers to support our growth.

Working in a dynamic, consulting environment on major mining, heavy industry and resources projects, you will utilise your electrical systems experience including HV, LV, instrumentation, controls and communications, vendor package integration, to drive the continued development of our team.

As an Electrical Engineer you will champion technical excellence and grow your experience under the mentorship of our experienced team members. Client liaison and project management opportunities will be provided on your career path, working for an international consultancy!

How you'll make a difference

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering with minimum 2 years' experience designing industrial and mining power, electrical, instrument and control systems
• Demonstrated experience in the design and specification of systems such as HV/LV distribution, controls and communications and safety systems, preferably in industrial and mining space
• Experience in producing engineering documentation such as technical drawings and specifications, datasheets, scope of works and material requisitions
• Possess current knowledge of the relevant industry standards and the application in compliant designs
• You will be someone who is looking to achieve outstanding results and most importantly, be someone that enjoys sharing knowledge, supporting ideas, and encouraging others to develop their skills and experience
