Job summary

AECOM in Australia is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer or Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Adelaide or Perth office. This role focuses on enhancing local electrical capabilities, capacity and client base, working on mining, industrial and civil infrastructure projects.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead design efforts across feasibility through commissioning, and collaborate with a broad team of engineers across resources, transport, water and buildings to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree.
• Engineering/design experience in mining, local government or heavy industry.
• Exposure to HV/LV distribution, controls and communications, safety systems and motor controls.
• Proficient in producing engineering documentation such as specifications, datasheets, reports and scopes of works.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical components of projects across all phases of the project lifecycle including feasibility studies, detailed design, procurement assistance, site construction and commissioning.
• Collaborate with engineers across resources/industrial, transport, water and buildings.
• Provide technical advice on local sustaining capital projects and studies.
• Mentor, develop and guide junior engineers while growing the team.
