The Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute across the full engineering lifecycle, from production support through to project delivery and commissioning. The role combines hands‑on collaboration with Engineers at our Prestons production facility and office‑based project engineering activities in North Sydney.

You will be actively involved in project engineering and commissioning activities across Australia, gaining exposure to technically complex systems while playing a key role in delivering high‑quality engineering outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Support production and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring safe and efficient project execution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to coordinate installation, maintenance, and testing activities in compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review specifications, reports, and documentation related to electrical systems, equipment, and project progress.
  • Ensure all operational and installation activities meet client requirements, safety standards, and regulatory codes.
  • Work alongside engineers and technicians to optimize system processes, operational workflows, and project execution efficiency.
  • Liaise with clients and project stakeholders to address technical issues, progress updates, and project-specific requirements.
Skills & Experience
  • Relevant qualifications and proven experience in a field‑based role within an industrial engineering or mining organisation.
  • Prior site or commissioning experience is highly advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of Australian electrical standards, including AS3000, AS5368, AS3008, and AS61439.
  • Strong understanding of electrical installations with the ability to diagnose faults effectively.
  • Extensive experience with low and medium voltage switchgear and electrical system operations.
  • Experience preparing technical documentation, including ITPs, O&M manuals, commissioning documents, and project reports.
  • Diverse skills in automation and control systems.
