Job summary

IPD Group in Sydney is seeking a Trade Assistant to join the Production team, supporting the assembly and delivery of electrical distribution boards and switchboards for customers across industries. You will read SLDs and wiring schematics, work safely in a busy workshop, and contribute to meeting quality and delivery targets while building practical electrical experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical assembly, switchboards, or electrical industry.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring schematics.
• Strong communication, teamwork and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire electrical distribution boards and switchboards.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, SLDs and wiring schematics.
• Support production activities to meet quality and delivery targets.
• Follow established quality, safety and workshop procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment.
• Assist workshop team with additional tasks as required.
