Job summary

Wave International in Brisbane is seeking an Electrical Designer with 3-5 years of industry experience to contribute to mining and resource projects from concept through detailed design. You will work with engineers and designers to deliver high‑quality electrical design documentation.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Designer in mining, resources, infrastructure, energy or heavy industrial environments.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and exposure to Autodesk products.
• Experience preparing electrical design documentation such as layouts, schematics, cable schedules and installation drawings.
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles, drafting standards and project delivery requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical design drawings and documentation using AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
• Develop single line diagrams, schematics, cable schedules, equipment layouts, installation details and drawing packages.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and project teams to deliver high-quality design documentation.
• Assist in development and maintenance of design deliverables through all project phases.
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback to ensure quality and compliance.
