Job summary

Swick Mining Services, part of the global Perenti Group, is Australia’s largest underground diamond drilling contractor. We seek an experienced Electrical Engineer to own electrical design projects, support rig builds, and assist maintenance and operations to keep electrical systems safe, compliant and reliable.

Create and manage cradle-to-grave designs, ensure AS 3000/AS 4871 compliance, and support field teams with troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechatronic engineering recognised by Engineers Australia.
• 5+ years in design or maintenance of LV/HV electrical systems.
• Fluent with AS 3000 and AS 4871 standards.
• Experience in mining or heavy mobile plant equipment.
• Experience in functional safety assessments and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of electrical designs from cradle to grave.
• Ensure all electrical systems meet regional and industrial compliance.
• Provide field support to maintenance and operations teams for troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with rig build teams and compile build instructions and records.
• Manage stakeholder communications and safety-focused project delivery.
