Qualifications

• Electrical engineer with degree and relevant registrations.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in electrical design and project delivery.
• RPEQ registration or ability to obtain it.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and PowerCAD.
• Experience designing switchboards and LV electrical systems.
• Sound understanding of Australian electrical standards and compliance requirements.
• Experience in mining, oil & gas, defence, manufacturing, utilities, or hazardous environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, hazardous area installations, and Ex-certified equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop low-voltage electrical systems and switchboards.
• Produce engineering drawings, schematics, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Support FAT, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system validation activities.
• Ensure designs comply with AS/NZS, IEC, ANZEx, IECEx requirements.
• Participate in design reviews and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with project managers, manufacturing teams, contractors, and customers to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle from concept to commissioning.
