Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Electrical Capability Coordinator to support RoadTek operations in Nerang. The role coordinates training, competency and safety standards across electrical disciplines, ITS&E and civil electrical works.

Required licences include Queensland Electrical Work Licence – Electrical Mechanic and C Class Driver Licence, with Gold Coast based location.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Queensland Electrical Work Licence – Electrical Mechanic.
• Current C Class Driver Licence.
• Gold Coast based – this requirement is non-negotiable.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent current qualification.
• Experience delivering electrical safety training within civil construction, electrical construction or maintenance environments.
• Experience conducting electrical safety and quality audits.
• Experience supporting formal workplace investigations.
• Qualifications or demonstrated experience in workplace health and safety, auditing or incident investigation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating technical training and competency activities across electrical, ITS&E and civil electrical operations.
• Maintaining training plans, competency records, learning resources and assessment evidence.
• Supporting the delivery of civil electrical training, including knowledge transfer, practical learning and training content maintenance.
• Providing coaching, technical guidance and competency support to apprentices, trainees, electrical workers, project managers and supervisors.
• Supporting continuous improvement within the Electrical Training Centre.
• Assisting with training schedules, competency pathways, technical guidance and succession planning for specialist electrical capability.

Gold Coast based – mandatory
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Capability Coordinator (ITS & Electrical) to support RoadTek operations based in Nerang on the Gold Coast.
This role will coordinate technical capability, training and competency activities across RoadTek’s electrical, ITS&E and civil electrical disciplines, helping ensure electrical works are delivered safely and in line with required technical standards.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

Mandatory Requirements
