Job summary

Ampcontrol is seeking an Electrical Assembler / Trade Assistant to join our Ringwood production team. You will assist with assembling electrical products, perform inspections and repairs, and support production workflows in a hands-on environment.

Ideal candidates will have some experience in electrical assembly or trades, with strong safety awareness and a collaborative attitude. This on-site role offers growth in a market-leading mining and industrial technology context.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical assembly or similar hands-on environment.
• Able to follow instructions and work safely with tools.
• Good communication skills in English, written and verbal.

Join Ampcontrol's Applications Division, based at our Ringwood production facility, where we design and manufacture market-leading technology for mining and industrial applications, including monitoring and control, communications, lighting, power quality and environmental monitoring.

We're looking for an Electrical Assembler / Trade Assistant to join our production team. This is a hands-on role supporting the assembly, testing and overhaul of electrical products used across mining and industrial applications.

You’ll work alongside experienced team members, following established processes and developing your skills in electrical assembly and manufacturing.

What You'll Do

• Assist with the assembly of electrical products.
• Inspect, clean, repair and overhaul electrical products as required.
• Follow work instructions and complete basic production paperwork.
• Use hand and power tools safely.
• Assist with quality checks and ensure work meets required standards.
• Keep the workshop clean, tidy and organised.
• Follow all safety, quality and environmental procedures.

• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

• Ideally has some experience in electrical assembly, manufacturing, trade assistance or a similar hands-on environment
• Reliable, motivated and willing to learn.
• Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
• Able to follow instructions and work safely.
• A good team player with a positive attitude.
• Ability to communicate at a technical level in English, both written and verbal
• An electrical or electronics background is advantageous but not essential.
