Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking an Apprentice to join their Services team in Macquarie Park, NSW. This hands-on apprenticeship will provide exposure to electrical technology, including wiring, testing and commissioning of electrical and electronic assets.

You will learn under experienced professionals, gain a nationally recognised trade qualification, and receive mentoring and support throughout your apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Understanding of electrical, mechanical and architectural drawings/diagrams.
• Ability to plan and measure wiring layouts.
• Willingness to learn to test, locate and repair electrical problems.

Responsibilities

Our host Schneider Electric is currently seeking 1st Year Apprentices (but would love to hear from 2nd and 3rd years too!) to join their diverse Services business which provides 24/7 servicing for: hospitals, utilities, data centers, support for the resources sector and just about everything in-between. The Schneider Electric portfolio covers UPS, critical cooling equipment, LV/MV switchgear, transformers, substation monitoring as well as a wide range of ancillary equipment. The Apprenticeship

This hands‑on Apprenticeship will see you learning from passionate professionals as you develop your skills and gain a nationally recognised Trade Qualification. Some of the skills you will develop include:

• Develop an understanding of electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and diagrams to determine job requirements
• Plan and measure the layout of wiring systems
• Test, find, and repair electrical problems and breakdowns
• Install, troubleshoot and commission electrical and electronic assets
• Connect electrical equipment to power supplies
• Coding and a focus on Building Management Systems

Hours of Work

8.00am– 4.00pm (negotiable), Monday - Friday

About You

• Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
• Minimum completion of Year 12 High School

• Completed a Certificate II in Electrotechnology
