Job summary

Australian Industry Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre is hosting an Apprenticeship with Schneider Electric's Digital Energy team in Cairns. This hands-on program runs 7.30am–4pm (mon–fri, negotiable) and provides a nationally recognised Certificate III in Electrotechnology.

Training fees and PPE are provided, with mentoring from industry professionals and consultant support. You'll gain exposure to Building Management Systems, on-the-job training, and a pathway into a career in smart buildings

Qualifications

• Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident with right to work in Australia.
• Minimum completion of Year 12 High School.
• Driver's license and reliable transport.
• Completed a Certificate II in Electrotechnology.
• National Police check.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and diagrams to determine job requirements.
• Plan and measure the layout of wiring systems.
• Test, find, and repair electrical problems and breakdowns.
• Install, troubleshoot and commission electrical and electronic assets.
• Connect electrical equipment to power supplies.
• Coding and a focus on Building Management Systems.

The Apprenticeship

This hands‑on Apprenticeship will see you learning from passionate professionals as you develop your skills and gain a nationally recognised Trade Qualification.
