Job summary

NSW Electoral Commission is recruiting an experienced Lead Application Services professional to head a team delivering support for diverse applications that underpin state-wide elections. The role focuses on proactive service management, vendor coordination, and leadership to meet tight deadlines.

The successful candidate will demonstrate robust ITSM experience, strong stakeholder communication, and a solid track record of driving service excellence within a public sector environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in leading and managing a team, including performance management.
• Strong technical understanding and proven experience supporting a range of business and enterprise systems (e.g., .NET, SharePoint, SQL, JIRA).
• ITIL V3 or V4 certification, and/or equivalent ITSM experience.
• Budget management and license/contracts experience.
• Vendor management experience driving efficiencies and service improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder and communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Relevant tertiary qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage an application support team delivering services to statewide elections.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and vendor partners to drive service excellence.
• Ensure IT service management best practices across incident/problem/change management.
