Job summary

Hoban is seeking a Data Entry Operator for a State Election project in Port Melbourne. You will accurately enter data from ballot papers into specialised systems, ensuring data integrity in a high-volume environment.

The role offers a Monday–Friday pattern with shifts and acknowledges the critical nature of election data processing. The position emphasizes speed and accuracy, with 7000–10000 keystrokes per hour capability and strict adherence to procedures and security.

Qualifications

• Experience in data entry, administration or processing environments.
• Ability to type quickly and accurately (7,000–10,000 keystrokes per hour).
• Must be able to complete an alphanumerical data entry test.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• Excellent concentration during repetitive tasks.
• Professional, confidential approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Enter election data into specialised systems accurately.
• Maintain data integrity per VEC procedures and guidelines.
• Handle large volumes of data with high accuracy.
• Meet productivity and quality targets in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive election information.
• Identify and report data discrepancies or issues as required.
• Work with in-house systems and software.
