HOBAN Recruitment is seeking hands-on IT professionals to support election operations in Horsham and surrounding areas. This role covers Level 1 IT support across election hubs, with on-site field work and helpdesk duties from early November to December.

The hourly rate is $51 per hour plus super, with a focus on maintaining operational systems during critical election periods. You'll troubleshoot Windows environments, printers and network issues, deploy and stage IT equipment, and help manage

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering Level 1 IT support.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication with non-technical users.
  • Experience with device deployment, asset management or basic networking is desirable.

  • Log, triage, and resolve incidents within service standards.

HOBAN Recruitment is proud to support the upcoming State Election!

We are seeking hands-on IT professionals to support upcoming election operations in a fast-paced, time-critical environment.

Location: Horsham + surrounding areas
Dates: Early November to December
Hourly Rate: $51p/hr + super

About The Role

As an IDS Officer, you will provide Level 1 IT support across election hubs, early voting centres, mobile voting locations, and election day venues. You will act as the first point of contact for technical issues, ensuring systems remain operational throughout critical election periods.

This role combines helpdesk support and on-site field work, supporting devices and systems including laptops, printers, networks, user accounts, and the Electronic Roll Mark Off (ERMO) system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 1 IT support via phone, email, and ticketing systems

About You
  • Proven experience in Level 1 IT support
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Teams, and general PC environments
  • The ability to prioritise tasks in high-pressure environments
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users
  • Experience with device deployment, asset management, or basic networking (desirable)
Requirements
  • Current Australian driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
  • Willingness to travel across various locations
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light manual handling
  • Willing to obtain a National Police Check
