Job summary

Livingstone Christian College (LCC) is seeking casual ELC Educators to support the Lead Educator in planning and delivering an early childhood program aligned with the College ethos and national frameworks.

You will work with a team to implement age-appropriate activities, foster development, and engage with families to meet group needs within a Christian environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified to work with young children in an early learning setting.
• Possess current Blue Card and First Aid qualifications (CPR, Asthma, Anaphylaxis).
• Align with the Christian ethos of the College and actively participate in church life.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Educator to develop and implement an early childhood program.
• Provide developmentally appropriate activities and reflect nationally approved learning frameworks.
• Collaborate with families and staff to meet group and individual needs.

Livingstone Christian College (LCC) opened its doors in January 2002, starting with a small class of just seven students. Since then, we have grown to a community of over 1250 students from Prep to Year 12 and over 240 staff members, plus an onside Early Learning Centre.

About the Role

• Casual positions available

Educators at Livingstone Christian College ELC are appointed to educate and care for a group of children. Under the guidance of the ELC Director and Educational Leader, Educators support the Lead Educator to develop, plan and implement an early childhood program which is developmentally appropriate and aligns with nationally approved learning frameworks, the ethos and vision of the College, meets the group and individual needs of children, and considers parent and community input into the program.

About You

• You have personal views and beliefs that align with the Christian ethos of the College and you are able to demonstrate an active faith and church involvement.
• You will hold, or be actively working towards, a Cert III, Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA recognised equivalent qualification.
• You have a current Queensland Blue card (Working with Children Check).

• You have current First Aid qualifications - including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
