Job summary

St Margaret's Berwick Grammar seeks a caring Co-Educator for the Early Learning Centre at the Berwick campus. The part-time role is three days per week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 7.45am-3.45pm.

You will support teachers to plan and deliver indoor and outdoor activities, work with individuals and small groups, and help maintain a safe, welcoming learning environment while observing and recording progress.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Children’s Services or higher qualification in early childhood education.
• Approved first aid certificate (HLTAID012) and CPR certification.
• Current WWCC and National Police Check.
• Child Protection training that meets Victorian requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers to prepare and deliver indoor and outdoor learning activities.
• Work with individual children and small groups during activities and transitions.
• Help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming learning environment.
• Actively supervise children, including during emergency procedures.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Assist with observations, progress records and confidential documentation.
• Take part in team meetings and professional learning.
