Job summary

HOBAN Recruitment is partnering with a leading Federal Government organisation to source an EL1 Technical Lead for Workforce Modelling & Analytics. You will lead design, development and improvement of forecasting and analytics solutions to support large-scale transformation initiatives.

Locations: Surry Hills or Newcastle NSW. Hybrid arrangements available; ASAP start; 37.5 hours/week. Australian citizenship required for this Federal role.

Qualifications

• Experience in workforce modelling and planning within complex organisations.
• Advanced analytical capability including forecasting and model design.
• Experience building analytical solutions using enterprise-approved tools.
• Strong systems-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business problems into modelling frameworks.
• Experience in governance, testing, QA and documentation standards.
• Proven leadership, coaching and mentoring to build team capability.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence senior decision-makers.
• Australian citizenship required for federal role.

Responsibilities

• Leading the design, development and maintenance of workforce forecasting, modelling and analytics solutions.
• Developing future-state workforce models and implementation scenarios to support strategic decision-making.
• Translating complex workforce and operational challenges into robust, evidence-based analytical products.
• Applying advanced modelling, forecasting and systems-thinking methodologies to workforce transformation initiatives.
• Establishing analytical standards, governance frameworks, quality assurance processes and technical documentation.
• Maximising the use of enterprise-approved Microsoft technologies and analytical tools.
• Providing technical leadership, mentoring and capability development across the team.
• Engaging with senior stakeholders to deliver insights that inform workforce reform and organisational change programs.
• Building sustainable modelling capability through reusable frameworks, processes and best-practice approaches.
