Job summary

McArthur is seeking an experienced EL1 Intelligence Analyst for a 12-month contract in Canberra. The role requires active Top Secret clearance (TSPV or TSPA) and experience within or with the Australian National Intelligence Community.

You will conduct research and provide intelligence advice to support policy development, liaising with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced government environment. The position is full-time and on-site in Canberra, with standard hours and potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret Vetting clearance (TSPV) or Top Secret Privileged Access (TSPA) clearance is mandatory.
• Experience in or with the Australian National Intelligence Community.
• Experience in fast-paced intelligence or policy environments with sound judgement and independence.
• Strong analytical, research and communication skills.
• Experience engaging with senior government stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
• Understanding of information security requirements and working in secure environments.
• Experience in imagery analysis or related intelligence tradecraft is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on intelligence, foreign policy and national security matters to support government decision-making.
• Provide intelligence advice, information and services to support policy development, planning and operational activities.
• Engage with senior executives and internal stakeholders to understand and respond to intelligence requirements.
• Support access to classified intelligence information and secure systems in accordance with security requirements.
• Coordinate and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the National Intelligence Community.
• Support intelligence coordination during emerging issues and crisis situations.
• Contribute to improving intelligence awareness, internal processes and service delivery.
