Job summary

Booka Consulting Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Procurement and Contract Manager for a Canberra-based engagement with a Federal Government agency. This EL1-level role will deliver complex ICT sourcing in a Commonwealth environment, with responsibility for end-to-end procurement and contract management.

The contract is up to 12 months with extensions to 24 months. Applicants must be an Australian citizen with Baseline clearance and be onsite in Canberra.

Qualifications

• EL1 level or equivalent senior responsibility in procurement and contract management.
• End-to-end Commonwealth procurement including tender processes, evaluations and contracts.
• Understanding of Commonwealth Procurement Rules, PGPA Act and Whole of Australian Government contracting.
• Ability to provide clear, defensible procurement advice and prepare executive briefings.
• Experience managing supplier performance, risks and stakeholder expectations.
• Strong judgement and ability to work independently under competing deadlines.
• Leadership to guide colleagues and coordinate delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver procurement and contract management activities.
• Advise stakeholders on sourcing approaches, compliance, risk and value for money.
• Manage tender processes and establish contracts with clear performance expectations.
• Monitor supplier delivery and address contract performance issues.
• Support team capability and improve procurement processes and practices.
