Job Description

We are seeking experienced professionals with strong capabilities in data analysis and investigation support. This role involves interpreting information to support decision-making, managing sensitive and evidentiary data, utilising specialist investigative tools, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of business processes and operational procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate, contribute to and lead digital forensics or incident response investigations.
• Utilise forensic eDiscovery software applications to process and analyse evidentiary data and artefacts.
• Support the production of investigation findings and reports in line with policy, standards and guidelines.
• Prepare large-scale data sets for ingestion, indexing and search using industry-standard processes.
• Ensure evidentiary data integrity is maintained throughout processing and analysis activities.
• Apply advanced data analysis techniques using platforms such as Nuix, Elasticsearch or equivalent products.
• Understand and apply relevant data-sharing legislation, guidelines and organisational procedures.
• Analyse and improve business processes through the application of new methodologies, technologies and automation.
• Manage workflows and contribute to the quality assurance of work undertaken within the team.
• Conduct assurance activities, including Quality Assurance Reviews.

Education/Certifications required

Essential

• Relevant experience in data analysis and investigation support.

Desirable

• Digital Forensics and/or Data Analysis experience.
• Application specialisations or ICT certifications.
• Certificate IV in Government Investigations.

Knowledge/Skills required

• Demonstrated experience leading or supporting digital forensics and incident response investigations.
• Strong understanding of evidentiary data handling, storage and processing practices.
• Experience preparing and managing large data sets for analysis.
• Advanced data analysis skills using Nuix, Elasticsearch or comparable technologies.
• Knowledge of data-sharing legislation, policies, standards and guidelines.
• Ability to identify process improvements and implement efficiencies through technology and automation.
• Strong analytical, investigative and reporting skills.
• Experience managing workflows and supporting quality assurance activities.
