Plan A Logistics is seeking a Plan A Logistics Efficiency & Optimization Analyst to review, analyse, and improve business processes within a 3PL operation. You will drive efficiency across warehousing, transport, inventory, and administration to reduce costs and boost productivity.

The role requires strong continuous improvement knowledge, Excel expertise, and experience with WMS/TMS/ERP systems, with opportunities for career growth in a data-driven environment in Sydney.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, or 5+ years of relevant logistics experience.
• Experience in logistics, warehousing, transport, or 3PL operations is highly regarded.

Job Description

Plan A Logistics Efficiency & Optimization Analyst is responsible for reviewing, analysing, and improving business processes, operational workflows, systems, and procedures within a third-party logistics environment. The role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing costs, increasing productivity, and supporting continuous improvement across warehousing, transport, inventory management, customer service, and administration function.

Task & responsibilities Analyses and evaluates current systems and structures Discusses current systems with staff and observes systems at all levels of organisation Directs clients towards more efficient organisation and develops solutions to organisational problems Undertakes and reviews work studies by analysing existing and proposed methods and procedures such as administrative and clerical procedures Records and analyses organisations' work flow charts, records, reports, manuals and job descriptions Prepares and recommends proposals to revise methods and procedures, alter work flows, redefine job functions and resolve organisational problems Assists in implementing approved recommendations, issues revised instructions and procedure manuals, and drafting other documentation Reviews operating procedures and advises of departures from procedures and standards Ability to work with multiple departments and stakeholders.

Knowledge of continuous improvement principles. Confidence using Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with WMS, TMS, ERP, or logistics software is desirable.

Qualification & experience

Relevant qualification at the level of a Bachelor’s degree or higher, OR at least 5 years of relevant work experience Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, transport, or 3PL operations is highly regarded. Experience in process improvement, operations analysis, or business systems analysis is desirable. Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements within a logistics environment.
