Job summary

Centacare’s Catholic Early EdCare OSHC service in Corinda provides before and after school and vacation care in a welcoming community setting. You will help deliver a high-quality, inclusive program and contribute to a caring environment for school-aged children.

The role emphasizes teamwork, ongoing professional development, and participation in safeguarding practices within a Catholic education framework. A passion for children’s education and care is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified with Cert III or Diploma in Children Services or ACECQA equivalent.
• Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• Willingness to complete mandatory National Child Training.
• Childcare experience is beneficial.
• Knowledge of NQF, My Time Our Place or Early Years Learning framework.

About Our Service

Located at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Hall in Corinda and proudly part of the Corinda Graceville Parish, our OSHC service offers before school, after school and vacation care in a welcoming, community-focused environment.

We operate from a dedicated space with access to the hall, playground, oval and undercover areas giving children plenty of room to explore, play and get involved in a wide range of activities. From sports and creative arts to gardening and cooking, there’s always something fun and engaging happening.

Our vacation care program adds even more excitement, with hands‑on incursions and memorable excursions that keep children inspired and smiling.

Job Requirements

• Cert III or Diploma in Children Services (or ACECQA equivalent) would be highly desirable.
• Current completion (or willingness to complete prior to commencement) of mandatory National Child Training (via Geckko).
• Previous childcare experience would be beneficial.
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment
• Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place or Early Years Learning framework and National Law/Regulations or ability to acquire
• Effective oral and written communication within the workplace
• Willingness to take Child Protection Training as required
