Job summary

The Y NSW is looking for a casual OSHC Educator to support children in our before/after school and vacation programs in NSW. Join a dynamic team that delivers safe, engaging activities and helps children learn through play.

You will work with families, schools and communities to provide inclusive, creative programs, with opportunities to develop professionally within The Y network.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising and interacting with children.
• Ability to follow safeguarding priorities.
• Availability to supervise Before, After and Vacation Care hours.
• Current First Aid HLTAID012 and CPR required.
• Valid Working with Children Check and Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide fun and engaging activities for primary school-age children.
• Help design a calendar of inclusive, exciting program activities.
• Report to Coordinators of OSHC centres and support children across NSW.

We're seeking a passionate casual educator to support children at our OSHC service in West Pennant Hills. You must be available for a minimum of 3 weekdays per week and willing to travel to other locations in the area if required. For the right candidate, there's even an opportunity to transition into a permanent role!

Our Out-of-School-Hours Educators are the sharp minds and friendly faces inspiring and influencing the next generation of young people. Acting as both teacher and role-model to young students from over 50 NSW Schools, you'll provide engaging, exciting and interactive activities through our Before School, After School and Vacation Care services.

About your new role

• You will provide fun and engaging activities for primary school-age children
• You will help design a calendar of inclusive, exciting, and engaging program activities
• Reporting to the Coordinators of our OSHC centres, you will be one of over 200 educators who support children across NSW
• You will be able to follow our development pathways to learn new skills and build your career

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience supervising and interacting with children
• Ability to follow safeguarding priorities
• Availability to supervise Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care hours
• Current First Aid HLTAID012 - Provide an emergency response in an education and care setting and CPR
• Valid Working with Children Check
• Police Check (paid for by the Y)
